Installation

General

Installation is straightforward using X-Aviation's installer. After installation, you will see 6 variants in the X-Plane aircraft selection screen. The image below shows the results using MU-2 as the filter criteria.

The variants and their naming conventions are described in the Aircraft Variants section.

G500 Variant

The G500 variant aircraft (with _GLASS in the filename) is installed along with the _OEM and _GNS variants; however, the G500 avionics will not operate unless you have purchased the G500 product by RealSim Gear from X-Aviation.com and installed it into the MU2 aircraft folder.

The G500 installer downloaded from X-Aviation.com, when run, will create a new folder in your X-Plane root folder. This new folder is called, G500 Aircraft Installer and inside it is another installer tool. This second installer tool is the one used to install the G500 into specific aircraft folders, not just the MU2. Simply run the G500 aircraft installer and follow the instructions (basically select the MU-2 aircraft folder).

You can verify the files have been successfully installed in the MU2, by going to the MU2 folder, Mitsubishi MU-2 Marquise v2 and looking inside the plugins folder. You should see the following two folders. If you do, then the G500 was successfully installed.

rsg_g500
OpenGPWS

After installation, you should see the G500 power up in the _GLASS variants when power is turned on via the battery of ground power unit.

MAC OSX USERS. There is a known bug in the OpenGPWS library by Totoriko/Saso whereby X-Plane may Crash to Desktop (CTD) whenever the MU2 is unloaded. (when switching to another plane). This CTD is only known to happen upon unloading. When desiring to switch to another aircraft after flying the MU2, the workaround is simply to shut down X-Plane and then relaunch and select the new aircraft after X-Plane launch.
